100 Days of Gardener's Daughter

Today marks the first 100 days of this blog. I consider it a joy to watch the progress in terms of traffic growth, as well as other parameters.

I must confess that I never expected the warm embrace and popular acceptance that this blog generated amongst an ever-growing fans of this work, particularly, in the first month, as shown by the graph on the right.

"In the Beginning..."

I caught a vision of value added. I felt a need to deploy my passion for telenovelas through a blog, so, welcome... "The Gardener's daughter" (la hija del Jardinero). We hit a peak of 190 unique visitors per day by the end of the first month. Three months later in November, we hit a traffic of 760 unique visitors per day.

We have have a robust crowd of articulate 'gardeners' from over 91 countries after 100 days of this flourishing experience. At the last count, our unique visitors per day had crossed the 1,000 mark and our daily page views had shot over the 3,500 mark by Google Analytics metrics. What more? In 100 days unique visitors have crossed the 26,000 mark while pave views had crossed the 78,000 mark.

Income is naturally still low for a new site like ours, except you consider some $150 as significant, it can't pay for my internet connection in 100 days. Thank God for the free hosting by Blogger. I have already said telenovela blogging is just part of my passion, I wasn't doing it for money, if money comes out of it, then, it is just a natural spin off from a talented content production on the web. I am contented and joyful with the followership that this site has generated in a little over 3 months.

This blog has attracted the cream of articulate fans of the telenovela genre in the last 100 days. Useful tips and solutions to many questions are being offered, not only by the blogger, but also by gardeners around the world.

I salute and appreciate all of you, 'gardeners' that throng this blog daily to socialize, yes, this is fast turning to a social networking site. At the rate people exchange email address and telephone numbers and including meeting new chatting mates here. I am happy that such a platform is being created for fellow gardeners.

It is one thing to appreciate compliments, and compliments are abundantly coming from gardeners to me. It is however another, to experience the outpouring of prayers for me by fans. I almost concluded that 'prayer warriors were taking over our garden in the last two week. But let me tell you, I was most moved by your prayers, it's touching... to the depths of my spirit, I can't ask for more motivation and inspiration...

Love you all, I promise that this is just the beginning of a refreshing burst of entertaining activities here. The next 100 days shall be explosive. I have renewed my commitment to serve you the more. Like my husband used to say, those who have nothing to offer would suffer. Because I have something to offer you, we all would enjoy and rejoice in this Yuletide season....

Snippets 102

L.F confronted her that she was a liar, because she had been colluding, collaborating and even accommodating the worst enemy of Carlos Eduardo- L.A.

Leopoldo was arrested and interrogated by the detectives. Carlos was surprised and told Ordonez that Leopoldo was L.A's best friend.

When Salvador arrived, Pedro advised him to disappear for a while, into thin air, until the tension calms down. Salvador and his escapee friend slept the night on a dark and narrow street.

The Parents of Salvador came to the police station, and met Pedro there. They called him a kidnapper, and he responded by wanting to fight them, before he was held and calmed down by people around.

Don Fernando appeared again at the court house in solidarity with Carlos on the day of resumed hearings. So also was L.F. L.A was shocked to the marrow when the judge asked that Leopoldo and the assassins be produced. During cross-examination, Leopoldo admitted that he was the one who sent hired assassins against L.A.

Snippets 101

When Jenny was called up to the witness box, she desperately defended Carlos Eduardo with all her vigor, against the alleged assassination attempt. She had no option because, if Carlos had sunk, her dreams of being the wife of a multi-Billionaire banker would also sink. Armando, as usual maintained that he heard Carlos planning to kill his father, L.A. L.F also showed up in court, just like Don, to give Carlos a moral support. When Jenny discovered that L.F was among the crowd that came to the courtroom to give Carlos a moral solidarity, her eyes turned red with jealousy and rage.

Lawyer Mujica related a past account before the judge, during the trial, of how L.A had once threatened Carlos with a pistol in front of the hospital where he worked. He told the court how L.A was arrested and charged with attempted homicide. He also told how Marissa persuaded Carlos to withdrew the charges for harmony's sake in the family.

L.A was called to the witness box, and he asserted that there is only one person who stands to benefit from his death. That person, he pointed out, was Carlos Eduardo, his mortal enemy, who hope to upstaged him from the Presidency of the Metropolitan Bank. He feign compassion and love for Carlos, ever since he married Marissa 20 years ago, he said that Carlos had made him a sworn enemy despite hid abundant love overtures to him as a step son, in fact like his own son, which he never had by Marissa.

Marissa was deeply touched by the public confession of love for Carlos by L.A. Carlos however knew that it was all a facade to cover his evil plot against Marissa and him. The public prosecutor asked for more time to investigate and establish the innocence of Carlos Eduardo, and it was granted by the Jury.

After the adjournment, Jenny deployed fresh moves to separate Carlos and L.F at the court house, she went to him while he was thanking L.F for her solidarity. Carlos thanked Jenny too for her testimony in his favor, despite having broke engagement with her. She replied that she did it for love and is ready to stand by him through thick and thin, saying she would never stop loving him. L.F became jealous the way Jenny was holding Carlos. She took excuse and left the scene.

When Pedro came back from the Social Welfare Home, he was devastated and depressed, because he had no power to rescue Salvador from the welfare home. Salvador began to plan with one of the inmates how they would escape from the home. Alfredo with his lawyer friend decided to trace the stepfather of Salvador to a jungle suburb of Mexico. They were harrassed, robbed and beaten up my miscreants who live in that district.

By the time Alfredo and Daniel arrived at Pedro's house, their body was full of bruises, due to the beatings they received from miscreants in Salvador's stepfather's bunker.

Sister Joaquina called L.F aside and accused her of deceiving Alfredo with matrimonial promise when she doesn't even have an iota of love for him.

The solicitor-general and the legal department dug into investigation of the case and found document which pointed to the real culprits that attempted to assassinate L.A. The culprits were arrested promptly. The culprits were tortured and they eventually confessed that it was Leopoldo who paid them to assassinate L.A.

Ordonez called and told Carlos that two suspects have been arrested and confessed to the crime of attempted assassination of L.A. He told him that they fingered a man called Leopoldo as their 'paymaster'.

Salvador and his partner escaped from the Welfare home, and arrived at Pedro's house. He was worried by the breaking of the law by Salvador.

After the trial was adjourned, L.A celebrated with feasting with his boys, Solozarno and Armando. They were sure that Carlos would not escape jail sentence with all their testimony fortified at the next adjourned date for the trial.

Marissa quarrelled with Carlos for his unchanging attitude towards Jenny despite the fact that that she risked her 'reputation' to testify in his favor during the court proceedings. He maintained to his mom, that while he appreciated Jenny's testimony during the trial, he does not love her to the point of marrying her.

Vanessa, having turned a new leaf, advised her bosom friend, L.F never to loose the opportunity of her lifetime happiness by going headlong into an unhappy and sacrificial marriage to Alfredo.

Carlos must have come back home to tell his mom that L.A was colluding with and living in Jenny's house with the stolen Bank's documents. He must have decided to break engagement with Jenny for lying to him and colluding with L.A. his worst enemy,

... Marissa must have taken responsibility for L.A's accommodation in Jenny's house, but must have been surprised herself, with the allegation of stolen documents, being hidden by L.A in Jenny's house.

The judge must have ruled that Salvador be taken to a social welfare home, pending the time his real parents show up. This must have upset L.F.

Armando must have been depressed by the news that his Dad, L.A has lost confidence in him, he might have quarrel with Carol for going to confront L.A with the secrets he shared with her.

Marissa was wroth with L.A concerning the news that the stolen bank's documents being in his custody. He denied it and accused Carlos of fabricating that 'lie' in order to separate him and her.

Armando was drunk silly, due to his depression on the authority that slipped through his fingers to Solozarno, due to Carol's indiscretion tongue. He had Lucero waiting to console him, and he took her to a motel where he slept with her, all night. When he came home the next day, Carol was furious with Armando because, she suspected he had slept with another woman. She said his body was smelling of a strange woman's perfume.

Carlos was asked by L.F to leave her alone when he visited her, reason: she was upset by the state 'acquisition' of Salvador from Pedro's custody. He was concerned by her attitude as he took his leave. Alfredo came to pick her and they both succeeded in getting Pedro bailed, after securing his release with his house and business assets as surety. When Pedro got home and found that Salvador has been 'confiscated' on the order of the judge by the social welfare department, he was so furious that he proceeded to Social welfare home where the homeless, motherless and fatherless youngsters are kept. The staff there refused to grant him permission to 'retrieve' or even see Salvador.

When Carlos returned home, he found Jenny weeping. Nana Rosario and Jenny had quarreled again. She had threatened Rosario with sack for not supporting her in the battle for Carlos love. Rosario had assured her that she (Jennifer) would be the one to be sent packing, because Carlos does not love her. Marissa joined the fray by accusing Carlos of mistreating Jenny. Jenny took advantage of the confusion to threatened that she would leave the house because of being victimised by Carlos and Rosario.

Next day is next court adjournment, L.A got Solozarno ready as his most trusted witness to sink Carlos Eduardo in the legal battle. At the court, Don Fernando appeared in court, to show his solidarity with his favorite boy, Carlos Eduardo. When Marissa was called to the witness box, she admitted under cross-examination, that she once heard Carlos threatening to kill her husband, L.A, in an atmosphere of a very hot argument between the two.

Snippets 98

The social welfare staff was terrified because of the rivalry battle that broke out between Alfredo and Carlos, she refused to conduct the interview again and left before it spilled over unto her. L.F was angry with Alfredo's behavior which she said was uncivilized. Carlos was enjoying himself, watching the acrimonious argument between this so-called 'couple'. Alfredo was really troubled to see L.F, for the second time in two weeks, siding with Carlos Eduardo in his confrontation with him. He therefore angrily left L.F's house.

Marissa planned to organize a party to celebrate and acknowledge her grandson, Pedrito, in her house and invited Consuelo and the Alcantaras. She also planned to invite close associates. Jenny was threatened by the planned public presentation of Pedrito as Marissa's grandson. It was the height of unsolicited provocation, she confronted Marissa and told her that she (Marissa) was publicly humiliating her. Consuelo too was very uncomfortable to learn that Pedrito was the son of her hated niece Luisa Fernanda.

The social welfare staff now went to interview Pedro in prison and also told him about the quarrel that ensued between two rivals, over his daughter, in his house earlier in the day, and how it almost resulted in an exchange of blows. The social welfare staff confided in Pedro that it would be almost impossible for the court to grant him his request of adopting Salvador because of the tensed atmosphere of rivalry and fierce battle between two lovers of his daughter which he had witnessed earlier in the day. She wrote the report and submitted it to the judge in charge of the case.

After Carlos left, L.F went in search of Alfredo to explain the mission of Carlos to her house, and also to apologize to him. Alfredo refuse to greet her at the flower shop. He told her that the relationship between them is damaged irreparably, so, she should go away. She begged and reminded him that she is still interested in marriage to him. He was happy with the announcement and came out to embrace her. They both went to the bank to complete the mortgage transactions of Pedro's asset for his bail.

When they arrived in the prison to tell Pedro how far they have gone to ensure his bail, he changed gear and for the first time, began to blame his puppet, Alfredo, and of course, Carlos Eduardo in absentia for making him to lose the custody of Salvador, because of their unruly behavior in the morning.

L.A has lost confidence in his son, Armando. He passed the baton to Solozarno. He asked Solo to take all the stolen boxes of implicating documents to hide in his house away from Armando, because he could not keep his mouth shut to Carol, describing him as a weakling with women.

Ordonez warned Carlos that the stolen bank documents may be found hidden in Jenny's apartment, because that was where L.A was living. Carlos was shocked with that news, and when he got home he asked Jenny if L.A was living in her house. Jenny was shocked by this unexpected question targeted at a well-kept secret between her and Marissa. she stammered and lied that it was not so.

Carlos did not believe her, so he went to Jenny's apartment and was surprised to meet L.A there. He confronted him and demanded that he should return all the bank's stolen documents in his care back to him (Carlos).

Snippets 97

Alfredo was stunned beyond recovery to hear L.F's declaration that she was no longer interested in marrying him. He was so agitated and confused, on his wedding day, when his bride-to-be say no, more marriage. Pedro was not released immediately, so Carlos offered to pay the sum guarantee for his bail. L.F objected to Carlos offer because she doesn't want Carlos' gift to stir up further quarrels between the two rivals.

Jennifer was so angry with the disappointment of her suspended wedding because of the absence of her Groom-to-be, Carlos. She accused him of humiliating her in public by being absent on the supposed day of their wedding. Carlos explained to her he went to help L.F rescue Pedro from being jailed for an alleged kidnap case.

Marissa went to visit Pedro in detention and had a long talk with him. He told her that Salvador dreaded going back to his parents, he said the parents were poor and because of child abuse, like subjecting him to beg for alms for survival, that was why the boy ran off his parents. Marissa therefore commissioned the detectives to locate the real parents of Salvador, but Pedro objected to her efforts to help him.

Carol confronted and accused L.A of having corrupted her innocent Fiance, Armando. L.A lambasted her for accusing him of being a criminal. He told her how even her sister, Jennifer was also his business partner in all his shady deals. carol went angrily to question Jenny if L.A's allegation was true. After she left, L.A was angry with Armando for opening his mouth to tell Carol, all their shady deals together. He told him how Carol came to accuse him of being a corrupt businessman.

Don Fernando miraculously found a photograph of Amelia and Consuelo when they were young, at home. He told Consuelo that while he recognized her in the picture, the other person looked so much in resemblance to Luisito. Consuela was afraid of Don's discovery, she didn't want Don to ever remember Amelia again, so, she had to lie that the other person in the picture does not resemble Luisito but an old school mate and childhood friend, who used to live in the neighborhood.

Don was not satisfied with Consuelo's explanation, Consuelo too was not satisfied with that Picture in Don's custody. At the slightest opportunity, she stole the picture fro her father. When Don called Rigoberto to come and confirm his discovery of similarity of Luisito and Consuelo's partner in a picture he found at home, he was astonished to find that the picture had disappeared into thin air.

Carlos went to visit his son in L.F's house while he was playing with his kid, astaff of the social welfare department came to interview her, in respect of Salvador. Alfredo too came in a few minutes later, he was so furious to find Carlos inside L.F's house. He launched out his fist of fury to land on Carlos face, but missed and the punch landed on the social welfare staff.
