The curtain has finally been drawn over the gardener's Daughter (La Hija del Jardinero) telenovela, some few hours ago, after 9 months and 10 days. This would make me to effectively break my emotional ties with that soap opera, and move forward to reach my dreams of serializing other telenovelas for our collective pleasures on this blog.
Luis Alejandro Montero paid the prize of 2-decades of treachery and perfidy - 10 years behind bars! I am not too happy about the repentance of Jennifer de la Vega, at the last minute. I would have wanted her punished with an equal penalty, with her 'comrade' and accomplice, L.A.
10 years behind bars or in a psychiatric clinic, would definitely have broken her pride and send her out of the beauty and fashion industry, and would make her to be ineligible for marriage. She was the chief promoter of mischief and misery for Luisa Fernanda.
To pardon and release Jennifer to go home from the psychiatric clinic, after the so-called repentance, was unfair to Solozarno and Luis Alejandro. To me, Jenny does not seem to have fully repented, because, up till the last second, she was still expecting Carlos Eduardo to return to her bosom, not caring for the feelings and sacrifices of her emotional 'spare tyre', poor Guillermo.
I would miss "Mr. M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S"! Victor was another super comedian who spiced the wracking tensed moments throughout the telenovela. I am happy and, at the same time sad for Xochil. Happy because she would be marrying her heartthrob- Dr. Anzola. Sad because, she still felt unsecured, after everything. They are not soul-mates, and she is heavily prone to hit the bottle, being addicted to alcohol.
It looked like, half-way into this final episode, Don Fernando was substituted with another man with a bigger body frame than the old man that played that role for 179 and 1/2 episodes.
My good sister and friend Bola Oluyemi of Mums and Dads' Children, has written me and sent me the summaries of Catalina y Sebastian which would take off probably tonight. I saw that she had 'let the cat out of the bag', by 'greeting' me for my 10th marriage anniversary today. Shhhhh! it is a quiet family affair here. I don't have anointing for partying (like sister Omodesola would say).
I need to edit it (Catalina y Sebastian), to make it flow as we read ahead of the beginning. Lorenzo's Wife, I have an appointment with you for this month, so friends, keep praying for me to have the emotional and enthusiastic resources to pay off a significant part of my Telenovela debts this month.

Staying on Course
Fellow Gardener's, On New Year's Day, I made a solemn promise to deepen and greatly enrich our collective entertainment value from this telenovela blog, 20 times over, this year, 2007, making sure that: " ... by the end of this new year, I pray, and would work to make this blog parade at least, the best 20 telenovela stories in the world, in English language for all of us, God help me."
It is precisely the efforts to redeem that promise that sent me on quality and painstaking research to fulfill our telenovela appetites this year. That is why some of you may have noticed that I have only been posting only one, or occasionally, two snippets per day, unlike my traditional 10 snippets per day, at peak seasons. A promise is a debt and I would complete what I have started. My Father's name is The beginning and the End, so, I wont leave you in the middle of the telenovela ocean.
I must however congratulate you that my research is producing awesome results,I have found three of the "All-time" most popular telenovelas in the world and I am itching to start posting the daily snippets in by next week after I must have finished posting snippets of Esmeralda.
"Rebelde", "Rubi" and "Yo Soy Betty, la fea" I am Betty, the ugly one. are three telenovelas that would knock you off. The Rebelde revolution is raging like a contagious entertainment virus throughout the five continents now, it is only Africa that was missing out. The U.S.A. caught the telenovela fever last year 2006 and it is already in a state of telenovela stupor now. Some of these telenovelas have begun to win prestigious nominations and win awards, including Oscar.
For those wanting to buy the complete dvds of the gardener's daughter, and other telenovelas, get ready an average amount of 50 to 100 Euros or equivalent in you local currency for the purchase.

Intermission: The Gardener's Daughter
Yesternight, the gardener's daughter telenovela, la hija del jardinero, resumed with episode 91, after crossing the half mark last Tuesday, in its 180 episode serial. This Mexican soap opera is getting more popular with TV and home entertainment fans. There has been a fresh influx of new fans to our telenovela blog here in the last three weeks, reflecting this fact.
To aid many of these new, and even some old fans, I would be pointing attention daily, via linkage to the corresponding SNIPPET. For example, if you watch episode 91 yesterday, I would link you with the SNIPPET 91 today. I have already completed snippets la hija del jardinero up to the Grand Finale Episode 180, so, this is the best navigational aid I could provide. We have too many novela stories on our hands, waiting to be posted than to go back to start posting TGD Episode summaries afresh.
For those wanting to read the The Gardener's Daughter on this blog from the beginning to the end, what I always advice is read the The Episode Summaries from 1 to 68 and continue therein from SNIPPET 69 to Grand Finale SNIPPET 180 By these, you can follow the thread without being broken.

Happy New Year
I am most excited to salute all telenovela fans, as we cross over to a new year- 2007 today! Looking with retrospect at the last four months of 2006, I am most grateful to all of you, who encouraged me with prayers, praise and patronage- the triple P's [PPP] that would guarantee my success as a web publisher in 2007.
See the statistics for for yourself too, 52,000+ unique visitors, over 185,000 page views, and over 1,100 FeedBurner subscribers in four months! That is an encouraging and inspiring pointer to the great potential and promises that this blog hold for us in the next 365 days. I make a solemn promise to deepen and greatly enrich our collective entertainment value from this novela blog, 20 times over, this year, 2007.
By the end of this new year, I pray, and would work to make this blog parade at least, the best 20 telenovela stories in the world, in English language for all of us, God help me.

I Need You, Pls, Don't Break Me!
This is My Christmas Wish to All 'Gardeners' and loyal supporters of this blog. You may have noticed that I have stopped posting either snippets or episodes summaries in the last 4 days. It was because of the strident protests and conflicting signals I was getting from many of our telenovela fans. I needed a break to comprehend your real purpose and my pursuit.
At the end of the full story (Snippets) of La hija del Jardinero (The Gardener's Daughter- TGD), last weekend. I told you that, I was going to start with Esmeralda (ESM) and Amor sin Condiciones (Love Without Conditions- LWC). I also promised to resume the posting of the daily Episode summaries of TGD.
My experience however, in the last 8 days has not been a palatable one. Why?
1. Many complaints came from our Ghanaian friends. The were bored and angry with us for posting the snippets of Esmeralda. They told us that they have watched it, and that I should resume posting La hija del Jardinero.
2. On the other hand, another group of fans were full of praise and prayers for the daily Esmeralda snippets.
3. While a third group were completely confused about how to navigate through the different strands of stories without breaking the flow.
Coupled with all this conflicting signals, was the good news that our blog here was rated and ranked by the lovable giant Google as No. 1, for the key phrase La hija del Jardinero, out of 153,000 search results! What that meant for us was that a fresh surge of new telenovela fans found our site, for the first time, and traffic increased to this blog immeasurably during this period. It also meant that we are being considered as N0.1 Site with the best available information on this telenovela.
Resolution 1. If we should stop the snippets of Esmeralda, we would have inadvertently hurt the entertainment opportunities of other fans who have never watched or heard about Esmeralda. So, I choose to quickly finish the story, since it was just some 60 episodes which I could round up in a week, or thereabout.
Resolution 2. In order to keep our 'telenovela family' together, we need a unifying factor that could spur on, and thrill our common entertainment interests. Some 35 fans have unsubscribed in the last 4 days. While over 125 new subscribers have joined us within the same period, to take us to the 1,007 mark, signaling for me a good omen for the coming year 2007! (We may not have noticed it, because the loss was swallowed by the influx of new members).
So, I am bringing on board, the latest telenovela La Heredera (The Heiress) (2005), of Sergio Basanez and Sylvia Navarro ('Diego' and 'Paloma' of Cuando Seas Mia- When You Are Mine Fame).
Every one of us love this marvelous couple. It would be great to read and watch them in their latest novela, La Heredera, (The Heiress), produced last year, and which may not get to our watching opportunity, as usual, until 3 years later, i.e 2008 at the earliest. This would bring all of us together again in the new year 2007.
Resolution 3. This blog succeeded because of that sweet angel called Mariana Ochoa, the gardener's daughter. We all fell in love with her talent on screen. I have, and would begin to post snippets of her latest work launched earlier this year and called Amor sin Condiciones, Love Without Conditions- LWC. That also would unify our entertainment interests as we celebrate this yuletide and cross-over into a more prosperous year 2007, for all of us.
Resolution 4. Principally because of all our new fans that just found this site and were unable to navigate around this blog, due to the many stories that would be crisscrossing our blog here on a daily basis, I have placed the CATEGORIES link above by the sideboard on the right side. If you must enjoy the flow of any story, that should be your first point of call. From there, you would make your choice of what you want to read, whether, The Gardener's Daughter TGD or Esmeralda ESM or Love Without Conditions LWC or La Heredera or any other label you want to read. That is the best way to navigate, otherwise you may be going round in circles, God forbid.
Resolution 5. given my new enlarged responsibilities, I cannot assure you of posting daily summaries of TGD which I have done and completed with the TGD Snippets. While not exactly a 100% repetition, it would amount to 65 -70% of what we already have in the snippets. My goal is to maximize our entertainment value from the novelas, not to bore us with partial repetitions.
With this FIVE Xmas resolutions of mine, I plead for your tolerance and understanding. I confess that I need you, that was why the Ghanaians' condemnation of my Esmeralda snippets hurt me so much. Once again, I beg you not to break me with the rod of condemnations. I know you love me much as I have loved and would continue to love you all.
Let met express my deepest gratitude to all of you that have sent Xmas greetings, either by commentaries or to my mailbox. Even to those who have not done so yet, I appreciate you too. All of you have propelled me to a significant level of web relevance that I never dreamt of achieving in 2 years to come. Thank you all.
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007 & IN ADVANCE!!!

Celebrating With Montain Dew
I sit this afternoon to savor the victory of truth over falsehood. On my table is a bottle of "Mountain Dew" soft drinks, to celebrate the end of my snippets on La Hija del Jardinero, the Gardener's Daughter telenovela. The full story can only be enjoyed if you watch it.
WOW! 2,500+ daily visitors; 9,000+ daily page-views and 893 loyal and faithful subscribers, all, in a little less than 4 months is worth celebrating. I say thank you to all 'gardeners' who daily turn my blog into a prayer ground as they pray daily for more strength. Let me confess, your prayers tickles me, to the point of tears. I love you, and your edifying interaction with me. Congratulations to all of us.
I truly feel like one who has climbed a mountain indeed. Like after every human achievement, my heart began to ask me what next?
At the beginning, I made us realize that, for me, it was a passion, not necessarily an exertion, as many of may think. I have a lot of options for telenovela fans, but what I would do is to create a new item under the categories of this blog.
(A): I could, by God's special grace, take off with Amor Sin Conditionale (Love Without Conditions), that was release in 72 countries earlier this year. Mariana Ochoa and "Berenice" of Cuando Seas Mia, were the star actresses there.
(B): I could take off with Esmeralda, even though AIT had chickened out, since the first episode five days ago, on Monday.
(C): I could go ahead with my story on Goodbye Vanessa.
Give me this weekend to ruminate and arrive at a decision.
Meanwhile I would try to continue with the much slower, daily Episode Summaries. (we still have over 100 episodes to go, in Nigeria, before they finish that, we would have read over 10 telenovela full stories from this blog)
Some of us just can't stand waiting for eleven months to finish with any story. If I were reading a novel, no matter how big, I would finish it within a week, why must I be sentenced to 11 months of waiting, if I can get done with it in one month!!!
Once again I say Congratulations to all 'Gardeners'!
Hip hip hip HURRRRAAAAAHHHHH!!!
Cheers, Am I hearing the clink of glasses?

Grand Finale: The Wicked Punished
Jenny was screaming at the top of her voice, as she was being led to detention. L.F watched the drama with amusement. With the collapse of the fraudulent schemes of Luis Alejandro Montero, Don Fernando appointed Vanessa's husband as the new President of the Iron & Steel Company.
Alfredo apologized to and declared his unflinching love for Xochil. They also began preparation for their wedding. L.F thanked and appreciated Alfredo's zealous contribution in the discovery and recovery of Pedrito.
Carol made a painful plea to the office of public prosecutor, for the transfer of her sister, Jennifer de la Suffer, or was it, de la Psycho? from prison to a mental hospital, because it was obvious that she had gone bonkers.
The most original version of Don Fernando Alcantara resurfaced. I am sure from the one Ordonez kept since he took it from L.A's office. Luisa Fernanda was magnanimous in victory. She acknowledged the vital role Vanessa and Rigoberto played in the exposure of evil. She gave part of her inherited fortune to Vanessa and old Rigoberto.
Carlos Eduardo and Luisa Fernanda proceeded to marry immediately. Marissa and Don Fernando began a desperate lobby for the prime couple to occupy and live happily in their respective mansions, which they gave out as wedding gifts to the new couple.
Pedro went to the prison to mock L.A, telling him that he has finally settled into where he ought to have been, and belonged to: PRISON!
Carol came a-begging, so that L.F could held Jenny in her mental degradation. She made her realize that a prison is the worst habitation for a mentally deranged woman, like Jennifer.
Just before she left with her wedding train for the church service, L.F kissed the picture of Amelia, her late mother. The glorious wedding of Carlos Eduardo and Luisa Fernanda was consumated, with family and well wishers present, to honor the triumph of true love over wickedness of the highest order.
Marissa and Rosario packed their luggages and came to live humbly with Pedro Perez, the luckiest gardener of the century.
Armando visited L.A to give him his son-father solidarity. L.A was saved from life imprisonment by his daughter, Luisa Fernanda. By the prerogative mercy of the judge, after the intervention of L.F, he was sentenced to 10 Years imprisonment. She also withdrew charges against Jenny who was already mental and had been transfered to a psychiatric asylum.
L.F announced to her husband that she is pregnant again, and this time, it she predicted that it would be a girl!

Under the barrage of torture, Racon confessed that Pedrito was hidden in Slozarno's house with Rebecca. When Carlos and Alfredo got there with a team of policemen. When they got there, Rebecca quickly confessed to them that, L.A had com to pick the boy to an unknown hideout.
All the while Armando and Carol had been on the trail of Jenny and L.A without being noticed. As Solozarno and L.A deposited Pedrito in the new hideout, Jenny sought to disappear again as if she was innocent of the crime. At that moment Armando and Carol appeared and arrested her, to prevent her from escaping. They asked her where she hid the boy that she kidnapped?
The police arrived at L.A's house and formed a wall of arrest round about the house. As L.A stepped out to leave, Carlos Eduardo confronted and blocked him. Solozarno was about to kill Carlos as he pointed his gun at him, just before he pulled the trigger, the police appeared and arrested them.
At the police cell where the two criminals were locked up, L.A lied that he too had come to rescue Pedrito by going out to go and alert his daughter, Luisa Fernanda, that he already knew where Pedrito was hidden. He claimed that it was Jennifer who kidnapped the boy.
Guillermo also arrived at the scene. He promised Jenny that he would help her to escape justice if she could disclose the specific location of Pedrito. At that same moment, a detachment of policemen arrived with Carlos. Jenny was arrested and the boy was fished out from the warehouse where he was kept. Carlos phoned L.F to tell her that Pedrito has been found. L.F rushed to the scene, and she saw her mortal foe, Jennifer de la Robbery in handcuffs.
Don Fernando visited Pedro to expressed his gratitude to him for giving accommodation and protection to his daughter Amelia, for the 18 years that he sent her into the wilderness of life, before her tragic death. He embrace Pedro and thanked him again.

A crack opened up among the kidnappers, Solozarno was threatened by Racon when he refused to cooperate with them. Racon blackmailed Solo that he would expose all his past shady deals to the police, if he backed out of their plot.
Alfredo wanted to accompany Carlos to the venue of appointment with the kidnappers to party ransom, but Carlos refused because he had been warned to come alone. When Carlos arrived at the meeting point with the kidnappers, with the ransom packaged in a briefcase, he was very nervous.
Armando came back to tell Carol that Carlos had gone to pay the ransom to the kidnappers for the release of Pedrito. Jenny was furious with this news, this was not how she wanted it, she did not know that the case would twist in this manner. She hurriedly left the house to go and alert her criminal accomplice, L.A, about the new development. Carol and Armando were sure by her reaction and the manner she rushed out of the house, that she knew about the kidnap. They suspected that she was rushing out to the kidnapper's hideout.
Alfredo called in the police to tell them the detail and the ransom. Carlos did not see anybody, at the appointed site, so, he came home for the long wait for another contact by the Kidnappers. When he got back home and saw policemen. He was angry with Alfredo for telling the police the details about the ransom. He almost landed Alfredo an angry punch.
L.A was confident that his plan could not be hijacked by Solozarno, to collect money and release Pedrito. So, he reluctantly took Jenny to Rebecca's joint where the gang holed out. Solozarno and Racon were at each other's throat. Solo threatened Racon that he would kill him if he made any independent deal to collect money from Carlos. L.A changed his decision to let Rebeca take custody of Pedrito, so he took the boy out with Jenny to another hideout.
The police interviewed Carlos and L.F, to know if they suspected anybody that might have enmity against them. Carlos supplied the name Luis Alejandro Montero, while L.F supplied the name of Jennifer.
Racon called Carlos, asking him to come to another site with the money and without any police intervention. This time around, Alfredo insisted of accompanying him, so both of them left for the new site. As they arrived at the site, Racon came out and demanded for the Ransom, at that split second, The police surrounded the place and arrested Racon.
Don Fernando inquired from Rigo that he did not know that 'Amelia' had any child. Rigo explained to him that Amelia was dead and that the person he calls Amelia now is Amelia's child and her name id Luisa Fernanda. When Vanessa came she confirmed to him that both Amelia and Consuela are dead and that he is only left with a granddaughter - Luisa Fernanda. The old man wept bitterly for his two dead daughters.

L.A was not too happy with the careless condolence visit of Jenny to L.F and Carlos. He decided to go and 'commiserate' with L.F too. As he got there, Pedro got angry and began to chase him out with blows. Carlos had to quickly intervene to prevent battles again. L.F told everybody, including Pedro to go, because, instead of commiserating with her it was personal battles they were fighting.
Marissa learnt about the kidnap of Pedrito and she too was worried. Racon colluded with Rebecca, who took custody of Pedrito for Slozarno, to let them take advantage of the situation for their own fortune. So, Racon assigned Rebecca to convince Solozarno to fall in, with their plans to seize the opportunity and take advantage of the situation for their common profits. Racon put a call through to Pedro's house, and demanded for 50 million Dollars ransom.
Ordonez got the ransom ready from the bank's vault. Racon called and warn Carlos to come alone with the money and not involve the police, otherwise, he would never see Pedrito alive again.
Jennifer was full of joy, she told Carol that the son of the "mugu girl" has been kidnapped. Carol suspected that Jenny may know more than what she says because of her joy over the kidnap.
Alfredo, who has just been seconded to work under the supervision of Carlos, and to be working in the psychiatry department of the hospital, heard about the Pedrito kidnap. He rushed to Pedro's house to commiserate with them too.
Don Fernando suspected that L.F was in great anguish, so he queried Rigo who confessed to him that L.F's son, Pedrito has been kidnapped.
Xóchil requested for some time to settle the emotion of Alfredo, before she could follow Guillermo for Acapulco Advertising Campaigns.

Whiz kid Salvador caught Jennifer in her nefarious act. She pushed Salvador with force to the ground and gaged Pedrito and left the house with his young victim. By the time the two lovers arrived at Pedro's house, they met Salvador wounded, lying on the ground, he was yet to fully recuperate from the fire burns of the floral shop.
Salvador told them that Pedrito had been kidnapped. L.F broke into painful tears, Carlos alerted the police of the kidnap. Jenny arrived at L.A's house with Pedrito and intimated him about her kidnap and vengeance act.
L.A called his hatchet man, Solozarno, telling him to swing into action and take responsibility for the kidnap and also demand a heavy ransom in exchange for the boy's life. Solozarno contacted Carlos announcing his responsibility for the kidnap.
Carlos became jittery, he called Ordonez to tell him that his son has been kidnapped and the kidnappers want ransom. He asked him to get ready some money for the ransom.
Xochil contract is taking her to Acapulco and Alfredo declined to follow her because of his schedule at work.
Don and Rigo became worried when L.F did not return home to sleep. Vanessa did not want to induce more anxiety, so she covered up for L.F by not telling them that Pedrito had been kidnapped.
A member of Solozarno's gang called Racon suspected that Solozarno was behind the kidnap racket.
Armando came to inform L.A about the kidnap of L.F's son. He also went to inform Jenny of Pedrito's kidnap. He suspected Jennifer, so decided to discretely investigate her.
Jennifer came with crocodile tears to console L.F on the kidnap of her son.

Jenny, full of fury, having not been able to find Carlos, accused Marissa for not inviting her sick self to her wedding. She told her that she would wait for Carlos to return before she goes. Vanessa confronted Jenny and told her to stop fighting a lost battle., because Carlos loved L.F and not her. She also told Jenny that C.E and L.F have reconciled and their wedding would be the next in few days time.
That was too much a blow perfectly delivered by Vanessa on this ailing lady of tricks. Jenny was alarmed and began to plot how to take vengeance because of this.
Meanwhile, after their reunion love-making, the two lovers, Carlos and L.F agreed to get married immediately before another misfortune of fate tear them apart. They swore to always love each other.
At the reception, Don Fernando was boiling in misdirected anger, when he discovered that 'Amelia' (Meaning L.F), has gone out with that man who stole his money and decieved his princess 20 years ago. He refused every persuasion to go home alone unless 'Amelia' showed up back at the party. When eventually L.F returned Don assured Alfredo that he would chastise her for his sake. Alfredo told him that would not be necessary, because they have broken up their relationship.
The newest couple in town, Pedro and Marisa, took leave of their guests, and got ready for their honeymoon.
Jenny got a rude shock when Carol at the reception insisteds that she would no longer live in her house, now that she is respectably married woman. Suddenly it dawned on her that she was the only miserable loser that had no one to boast of as husband, (Guillermo for hewr was just a past time).
She launched her Al Queada operation in the midst of merriment, to cause untold anguish to L.F and Carlos. She went to Pedro's house and kidnapped little boy Pedrito, and ran away with him.
